Recently we installed something unique from the baths that we normally install, the stand alone tub. Yes we also added a beautiful shower, but we do lots of those. The stand alone tub, at 67 inch long compared to the the normal 60, and at 24 inches deep compared the the normal 17, this Jacuzzi brand soaker is a must for the person that enjoys to soak. This particular tub kit also came with the faucet hardware that bolts to the floor and was priced at around $1300.
The stand alone tub also offers a significant advantage in that it allows for the versatility of placement almost anywhere in the room. The photos below show it the tub placement diagonally from the wall. A traditional tub need be installed against three walls and secured with a wrap around surround. The faucet may also be placed anywhere around the tub and doesn’t have have to be hidden do to its beautiful stem and even finished flange that sits against the floor.
